8 – 25 June 2023

Linnaeus, Peter Quinn RWS, watercolour

Chelsea Physic Garden: 350 Years in Paint and Print is an exhibition of works by selected artists of the Royal Watercolour Society (RWS) and Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers (RE) marking the 350th anniversary of Chelsea Physic Garden.

Over the past year, selected RWS and RE artists have had access to the garden to be able to study, record and document it throughout the changing seasons. The resulting works will make for a unique and vibrant exhibition at Bankside Gallery celebrating the history and significance of London’s oldest botanic garden.

RWS Autumn: Less is More

7 October – 5 November 2022

‘For their annual Autumn exhibition at Bankside Gallery, artists of the Royal Watercolour Society are exploring the notion of ‘less is more’. But have no doubt, this exhibition will be anything but understated. The results of this experiment promise to deliver a display with a huge range of painted interpretations of this debatable concept. Whether artists agree with the statement or not, visitors are promised to be intrigued and inspired by the artworks on display.’

Art Fundraiser in Aid of Ukraine

I have a work in this online exhibition organised by the Bankside Gallery.

Art Fundraiser in aid of Ukraine
Online Exhibition | 16 – 23 March

In response to the horrific events unfolding in Ukraine, we have launched an online art fundraiser with 100% of the proceeds going to the Disasters Emergency Committee’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

This exhibition is made up of a brilliant selection of paintings and original prints, all of which have been very generously donated by artists of the Royal Watercolour Society (RWS) and Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers (RE).

We hope that you enjoy this collection and find an artwork to treasure, while supporting such an important cause.

‘This exhibition of works by Members of the Royal Watercolour Society showcases paintings created in the very recent present alongside those at the earliest points in their career, and everything in between. The display promises to provide visitors with a rare insight into the development of each artist’s creative output, as well as the opportunity to take a piece of work home, whether from now or then.’

THEY CAN’T CANCEL SPRING…

I have four works in this show, including Boulevard, illustrated below.

Artworks will be available from 11am on Thursday 18th March.

The RWS home at Bankside Gallery is sadly temporarily closed due to government restrictions and so this exhibition will take place online. As with all RWS exhibitions all artworks are original paintings and available to browse and buy, and in this particular circumstance, will be delivered by the artist directly to your door.
